A blog by two cats who used to live in the same house in Northern Virginia. Unfortunately, they are both no longer with us.
Mom is giving us lots of loving attention so we're feeling generous about sharing our blog with our cousins this week. This is Sophia Mittens, aka Sophie. She is a young kitty with a very floofy tail. She's full of energy, is athletic, and loves to play.
She even likes to wrestle with the d-o-g.

Jake: I was a nearly 15 year old tabby who commanded and demanded attention. I used to love to hang around on my deck outside. I developed cancer and died February 5, 2009. I didn't like my sister because she was cranky. Bathsheba: I was a polydactyl 18 year old dilute tortie and white. I used to be a big hunter in my day, but I retired when I went deaf. I developed a rapidly spreading cancer that affected my appetite and I died in the garden in November 2009. I loved my mom the best. Jake was a constant annoyance, but I missed him when he was gone. For a short while I contended with that bothersome kitten Emerson who is now my legacy to the cat blogosphere.
