About Me
- Name: Jake and Bathsheba
- Location: Virginia, United States
Jake: I was a nearly 15 year old tabby who commanded and demanded attention. I used to love to hang around on my deck outside. I developed cancer and died February 5, 2009. I didn't like my sister because she was cranky. Bathsheba: I was a polydactyl 18 year old dilute tortie and white. I used to be a big hunter in my day, but I retired when I went deaf. I developed a rapidly spreading cancer that affected my appetite and I died in the garden in November 2009. I loved my mom the best. Jake was a constant annoyance, but I missed him when he was gone. For a short while I contended with that bothersome kitten Emerson who is now my legacy to the cat blogosphere.

Wow! It's gone. What happened?
Hey! What did everything go? Did it go inside for the cold weather maybe?
We didn't know that jungles disappeared. We knowed about the "rain forest" but what's happening with jungles?

That looks like our deck!!! Same color and everything. It smells kind of stinky now but apparently its supposed to hold up better to the winter and sun and stuff.

Is it getting too cold for a jungle?
The answer is that Mom had to clear EVERYTHING off so that a guy could come to powerwash it. This is actually a "before" picture. It has been powerwashed, but now they have to come back and re-stain it. It hasn't been restained or resealed since Dad built it back in 1996, but it has held up well.
No, it's not cold yet. Today it was over 90 degrees!

oh wow, yer dek is being beerutified. Yoo desurved to have a fancie dek, not an uglie colured one, jake...That's awesume!
poor naked deck! we're glad it got powerwashed & stuff. now you can re-jungle-ify it.
