Who's a Geezer?
Being nearly 16, sometimes I'm a little overly sensitive about being a geezer cat. Sure, I can't hunt (and catch and eat) squirrels like I used to in my prime, but retirement is a good life.
Still, I take great pride in some of the things I can do. I still like to drink out of the tall birdbath and that requires some precision leaping. When I jump I have to be very careful to balance along the edge so I do not get my big feet wet.

What skills, excellent ~the Fluffy Tribe
Wow! I biggified your pictures, and they look pretty! Jumping with precision landing is a hard skill. You still have it, Bathsheba! I hope I look as good as you when I am almost 16.
Hi Bathsheba and Jake!
Thanks for visiting! (and especially for telling us that you are still outdoor cats!) Willie is almost 16 too and Mosaic Lady was just thinking yesterday how spry and agile he still is as she watched him play in his yard.
Thanks for the tip on the Oriental, too. We were thinking of Kaze as well when we posted over at Lux's. We are not sure who will join our house next, but we know it will either be an orange guy, a white guy, or an Oriental. And either a tiny kitten or maybe an adult who needs rescue. Or both. We wouldn't be inclined to pay for a cat (other than the adoption fee) so rescue/shelter kitty is our thing if it were a specific breed.
Truth be told, this cat blogging is like crack for "some of us". We want everything cute that "we" see. And that's a lot of cats. ML needs to get her head screwed on about some stuff before she decides anything else right now! But we do want to add to our family since there are some holes to fill. Mostly Mosaic Lady's lap.
Nice to meet you!
You have a nice jungle to hang around too. You look pretty good for a geezergirl <3
Happy day
You certainly are not a geezer cat, Bathsheba! I'm so impressed with your balance. Our bird bath is usually empty, so I got used to jumping into the middle of it. Then Mom decided to fill it one day, and when I was out in my harness, I jumped into water!!! Mom laughed, but I was NOT happy.

Wow, Bathsheba, are you an acrobat? You sure do a good job balancing on the bird bath. I am still a young kitty and I don't think that I could do as good of a job as you.
Very agile moves, Bathsheba! Like Henry, I'm not sure I could do as well.
You certainly do not look your age!
And jump like a young one! I watched Anastasia climb a tree today and I have to say, she is only 3 but she looked more like a geezer than you probably ever will!
I think we get an idea about the deer because they ate the top of our little acacia tree this morning....
And I also think that Anastasia might be showing her eyes just once sometimes in the future to impress Monte... I'll let you know when that happens!
