About Me
- Name: Jake and Bathsheba
- Location: Virginia, United States
Jake: I was a nearly 15 year old tabby who commanded and demanded attention. I used to love to hang around on my deck outside. I developed cancer and died February 5, 2009. I didn't like my sister because she was cranky. Bathsheba: I was a polydactyl 18 year old dilute tortie and white. I used to be a big hunter in my day, but I retired when I went deaf. I developed a rapidly spreading cancer that affected my appetite and I died in the garden in November 2009. I loved my mom the best. Jake was a constant annoyance, but I missed him when he was gone. For a short while I contended with that bothersome kitten Emerson who is now my legacy to the cat blogosphere.

Hang in there!
I'm sorry to hear that your dad is gone, Jake. :( That is a great Mancat look you are displaying in your photo.
Oh Jake, I'm so, so sorry. It made Mom's eyes leak to read your Dad had to go away. Human relationships are strange and hard to figure out. Be strong, you mancat you.

Jake, that is a very fierce and ferocious expression! You are a very brave mancat, and I know you will stay strong. But it is OK to be a good mancat, and also cuddle with your mom sometimes, too.
Purrs. As ferocious as you are, I'm sure you are a really good head of the family.
Oh Jake, we are so sorry to learn of the news! We weren't around much last week and we just read your last post. I'm so so sorry you're loosing your Dad, I can't even imagine loosing the Awesome Man. Well...actually...the Woman was my favorite at one point. I am confident you are going to do a great job in charge of the manliness!!

You look very fierce, Jake. I'm sure that look will keep all the bad guys away. I am very sorry that your Dad left.
Be fierce Jake, but remember to give extra lovies to your Mommy too!
Smooches!
Ahh. Whoa, you scared me Jake. Anyway, glad your dad got to stay another day. Still sad he is gone, though.
