A blog by two cats who used to live in the same house in Northern Virginia. Unfortunately, they are both no longer with us.

Hanging Out with Mom
Weekends can be great for relaxing and hanging out with Mom. The weather has been bitter cold lately so Mom and I prefer to just cozy up inside on the bed. Jake knows that this is my domain so he doesn't bother us. Life is good . . . .
It was colder here today too, so we napped a lot. But not as cold as where you are! Mom thanks you for the weather report. She's decided to just run on the machines in the hotel room (she hates that, and only does it if weather or schedule demands, and this time both does). She is taking the train from New York to DC on Wednesday for the first time. She always likes DC, but I'll miss her. Tara
Oh, by the way, my Mom can only help me with posts at night also. So we decided to do our posts at night for the next day. That way, we are always one of the first! Tara
thanks for visiting. I need a secretary too... I do not even know how to put links on the sides... so you kitties are waaaay ahead of me :-P
I agree about the snow. This stuff we got last week is horrid. we have 5 inches of snow and two inches of ice and now it is all concrete through and through. I can't even walk on it, last week I slipped and fell on my knee just innocently sliding around in the woods. now I have a achy old lady feeling all in my leg and knee. I would also like on nice fluffy snow storm, lots of fluffy happy snow. Then, bring on spring with all that itchy eye, headaches and sneezing stuff :-D
Jake: I was a nearly 15 year old tabby who commanded and demanded attention. I used to love to hang around on my deck outside. I developed cancer and died February 5, 2009. I didn't like my sister because she was cranky. Bathsheba: I was a polydactyl 18 year old dilute tortie and white. I used to be a big hunter in my day, but I retired when I went deaf. I developed a rapidly spreading cancer that affected my appetite and I died in the garden in November 2009. I loved my mom the best. Jake was a constant annoyance, but I missed him when he was gone. For a short while I contended with that bothersome kitten Emerson who is now my legacy to the cat blogosphere.

Stay warm. Humans are great for that, aren't they?
