Happy 4th of July
Happy Independence Day, everyone!
There will be some spectacular fireworks in Washington, D.C. this evening, but Mom and Dad prefer to stay home. Fireworks may be pretty, but we can't stand all that noise. We think the proper way to celebrate this holiday is with good food (barbeque, anyone?), family, and a nice afternoon nap.
Jake is still under the weather, but he perked up a bit late last night. I got a chance to gobble up HIS leftover food for a change. We hope to go to today's party, but he may try to retreat to a dark corner with DaisyMae.
Don't forget our 200th post contest! Details are here. We encourage you to visit and comment as often as you like, but #14 and #15 must be from different families.

Thanks for visiting my blog Bathsheba. I have a big Tortie sister who is very cranky too just like you. The v-e-t told my mom that that's just the way torties are. I hope Jake feels better soon. Even if he's a brat, no one deserves a tummy ache. We had those firecracker noises a lot last night, so we're not looking forward to this evening at all. We agree, food yes, noise no. Toodles, Ty
Have a Happy and safe 4th Of July :)

Happy 4th! We didn't do any fireworks either (although we can see the from the big bedroom upstairs). Instead we spent the day with family. Like you, we thinks that the best way to spend the day!
We hated the noise. But The Big Thing petted us an gave us lots of scratchins while te noise was goin on.
