More Mail!

We got our first issue of the Best Friends magazine in the mail today, and I had to start reading it right away:

Uh-oh, there looks to be some kind of vishus deer news in the "thinking globally" section. Not to worry, however. There's a big park that's opening in South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbawe where they can live, so unless you live in Africa, they won't be appearing in a back yard near you.

We won our subscription in one of Skeezix's contests. We also sponsored Cinders by winning. (Thank you , Skeezix.) Best Friends seems like a very nice organization. Mom and Dad said that its sanctuary is located in southern Utah near the border with Arizona. They traveled in that area a few years back and told me that it's beautiful red rock country. Too bad they didn't know about Best Friends back then or they could have stopped in for a tour.

Now, let me get back to my reading . . . .

Jake! We get that magazine, too, for sponsoring Scooter! Isn't it a terrific magazine? If I didn't have Mom and the Feline Americans, I'd wanna live there. It seems furry nice and friendly. You look really cute readin' the articles ...

Jeter, yes, my sister IS some kind of dinosaur. She's 15, after all.

Jake, looks who's mean now! I'm no dinosaur. I just use a fancy word to indicate that I have extra toes. And hand over that magazine. The subscription is addressed to me too!

Momma has been a member of Best Friends for years. It is one of the animal charities she gives to. Yes, it is a beautiful place, they have a wonderful website you must see.

Oooh! I'm going to add a magazine subscription to my Christmas list! Mom says she wants to scratch the back of your neck when she sees you sitting like that reading. I guess that's a compliment!
