Tabby and Tortie's Tongues on Tuesday

Thank you for visiting us today. We are mad at our secretary because she is not giving us time to visit our friends. She claims to be "busy" or working late at her "paying job." We are sticking our tongues out at her.

Tall-Tailed Tabby versus Tortie for Toesday

Bathsheba: After a dreary morning, it cleared up a bit yesterday afternoon and I went out on the deck to look around.

Jake: Oh, Bathsheba, you don't know how to patrol and guard my deck.

Let me show you how it's done.

Bathsheba: This deck isn't big enough for the two of us. (Note from Mom: It's 20x24'.) I'm going back inside. I'm moving so fast, my face is a blur.

P.S. Mom says thank you to the Castro Valley
boys
. They're lovely.

Tuesday Treat Time for Tortie and Tabby

In our house we have a bedtime ritual. Mom climbs into bed, reaches into the nightstand drawer, and pulls out a package of Temptations to give us a snack. Here we are waiting for her to go to bed. She is trying to use the Temptations to get us closer together. She sometimes will hold that treat out for me very close to Jake. Oh, how I hate to be near him, but those Temptations are so yummy that occasionally I might even --shudder--touch him.

Mom's great desire is to have both of us sleep on the bed with her. I already do that, and I do NOT want to share with Jake. Dad had him well trained to stay off the bed because Dad did not like to sleep with cats. (Can you imagine?) Mom used to go to bed before Dad and I would sleep with her until I would be kicked out when Dad came to sleep. Being able to sleep with Mom all night long is the only positive result of Dad's move to California.

Tabby Tummy and Tortie Tuesday

Once again that darn Jake is monopolizing this blog with his photos! He's such a poseur. Here he is rolling around on the sidewalk made of aggregate stone. He loves to scratch his back this way, but he sure gets dirty. That sidewalk is full of yellow-green oak and hickory pollen.

My big mancat friend Kismet and his little sister Sophie recently told us how they help with the laundry. Here I'm doing quality control on two shirts that my mom had washed and folded. Instead of putting them away, she left them on the bed for me to inspect. I guess they pass.
Long live the torties!
